This must be a pre-War photo because the iron bridge over the breakwater is visible in the backgroud. It was destroyed during the War in a U-Boat attack.

But the single span remained until 1955. See here. Devonshire had most of her armament removed in 1947 for her role as cadet training ship until 1953. (I think you mean E-Boat.)
