Suspect the date is incorrect, the flats we lived in at Tigne in 57 do not show in the picture which suggests it is earlier.

I agree. We lived there in 1947-1952 and I know for a fact that A Block Tigne Barracks where I lived was built by Italian prisoners of war as there was a plaque on the side of the block saying so,I cannot remember the date .
