Built Govan 1927, Bibby Line. 1939 The Admiralty. Converted to Armed Merchant Cruiser for WWII service as HMS Cheshire.
Torpedoed 1940. Reverted to MOWT as troop transport 1943.
Restored to owners as passenger ship 1948 but converted again for trooping 1953 before scrapping at Newport, Monmouthshire, 1957.
