Biography/Interests/Remarks Left Tal Handaq 1955. Flew home to UK and joined RAF. Posted to RAF Luqa just before the Suez thing, 2.5 years back on the Island. Then back to UK - RAF Abingdon, 2 years. Then to RAF Akrotiri Cyprus 1961 - 2.5 years, then back to UK, College of Air Warfare, RAF Manby, Lincs. Then after 2 years to Singapore, RAF Tengah. Home and demob 1968. Joined Kent Police, 1968. Retired from Kent Police 1992. Started and ran my own business in electronics for 3 years. Sold out. Became Golf Club Secretary, private members Golf Club, managed 3 different Clubs. Now Assistant National Secretary to United Kingdom Senior Golf Association.
Twice married - five children - 10 grandchildren - 3 great grandchildren.
Still very active and play a lot of golf. Live in High Halden, a small village in deepest Kent.
Visit Malta every October. Once it's in your blood it's there to stay.

02/19/13 at 05:45I remember it well. The girl on the centre of the pontoon, is Bridget Flinton, close friend of Christine Owen, both 6th Formers in 1954/55. That's me John Wilson, winning the event for Nelson!
