Interesting photo if indeed this is 1953 - its unclear to me if Forth is in Msida Creek but if not she could well be away in Kafalonia as she was the mainstay of Earthquake relief failing that in 1953/4 many a RN exercise was involved with Suez as the 1956 take over by Nasser was deemed to be on the cards as early as 1953.

Forth is absent and apart from the laid up ships and possibly Ranpura in Lazaretto, the only naval type I can see is what looks like RFA Blue Ranger in Pieta.

In 1953 Forth went to Spithead for the Coronation Fleet Review in June then on her return to Malta she went off to Kafalonia in August so this could date the photo within a couple of months?
