Thank you, Prefect - a very absorbing photo which has given me a good half-hour diversion, comparing it with Google Satellite. Interesting to see features that remain to the present day (runways apart!), like half of the "spectacle" dispersal at upper centre left. I am intrigued by the white lozenge-shaped area at bottom right. What is it? It's very large for an aircraft hard-standing area. And the black line running through it and beyond - a road? But all other roads are white...

Dunno. It does look odd. Its roughly where the 1958 terminal would be built.
