I lived in Tigne Barracks in 1973-4. I can see my old bedroom in the top left picture.

I've been looking more closely at the photos here- the top right one is the flat we lived in- 4D Tigne Barracks.

This is nothing like the Tigne barracks I knew in the l1930/40s. I'm sure that "Tigne Snack Bar" used to be the guard room at the entrance to the barracks.

This is believed to date from the 1980s when it had clearly ceased to be a barracks.

It was the original guardroom the guard commander and the cells were there but during my time 47/52 they moved part of it over to the right as you came into the barracks. First on your right was the garrison church followed by the guardroom further down was the school, NAAFI canteen,Sgts Mess and at the end the MQs on the left of the barracks was the parade square and further down the barrack blocks and the guns. to the far left of the square were three or four officers MQs. I could go on but I will run out of space

And near the Colonel's house there used to be a tennis court, where my friends and I spent many hours skating.
