My mother and I sailed to Malta in this ship arriving on 14 September 1950 when I was 20 months old. We were joining my father who had just been posted as Sgt. Major RM to HMS Euryalus (a Dido class cruiser) stationed in Malta. I have some rather faded photos of me on board as a babe in arms. Mum sent a postcard of the ship home to her parents in Plympton. I still have that postcard.
