The building behind THE palm tree had replaced the very utilitarian one-storey infants and sick-room block that was there in our time. So it must have been added by one of our successors - the Verdala International School (which took 'our' name with it when it moved to Pembroke Barracks - GGGRRRrrrrrrrr!) or the Maltese Liceo Verdala. It was then replaced by the impressive three-storey block of the current school. So the photo must date from some time between when 'we' left in 1978 and when the big rebuilding started in 2006. (Nearly as long a time-span as the 30 years that the RN school occupied the site!)
