This is actually an awlful film - a poor take off of the St Nazaire Raid, where my father was awarded the Croix de Guerre for his part in the raid. The only saving grace of Hell Boats is some great shots of Malta particularly HMS Phoenicia and the participation of Tal Handaq scholars

On Channel 5 the other day. It could have been worse and the scenery made up for the dodgy plot & acting!
