1980 in front of the drop below Tigne Fort

We used to call this the 'old swimming pool' - it was on the sea front just below a big drop from the area around the old fort if I remember rightly....

Yes Nick and in a corner of the wall behind you (to the right out of view) used to be one of the entrances to the tunnel system. At the bottom of the steps leading down to the pool was a small tunnel from the pool to the sea where you used to catch what we called 'sea cucumbers'. Shame it has all gone.

It was there last year 2010 - I went along it and into the tunnels aka Tigne Caves. Unlike Prefect who wouldn't get his feet wet. Photo to follow.
