Inside the Pit 2005

Remove all the furniture and it looks just the same. I especially remember the opening at the end with bars in it. That was the only ventilation we had!

How very nice! I enjoyed my couple of hours in the bookshop but I think I would have preferred it like this. A welcoming and very talkative lady in the bookshop who told me she didn't like being down there alone (vague voices and noises Shocked

). That reminded me of Nigel Vaughan (Pit Committee Chair, 1965/66) who was always the last one out on a Saturday night. He told me he ran fast up the slope and was afraid to look behind him Shocked
