At the very top with his head just inside the right hand doorpost is, I believe, Mr Cleaver. What a lovely bloke. He persuaded me that what I wanted to do more than anything in the world was to go hiking in Italy. And I went. You don't have to take my word for it. I've got witnesses. And photographs. He was a great bloke and he never held it against me that I couldn't run, jump, throw, catch, swim, kick etc. All those things that other PT teachers I've known seem to expect of you. The man was a diamond. On the other hand, at the bottom right is Mr Edgell who thought that I was a thug, excuse me, fug, and a skate and I know this because he told me. Often. In fairness I should add that he thought that all the boys were thugs and skates. He wasn't just picking on me.

I remember Mr Cleaver one hot day at cricket practice in the nets. He was bowling to a lad & the ball then fell at me feet. I threw it back to Mr Cleaver whilst looking at something else. Needless to say it hit him on the knee! He called me a ****! Summer 1960 I reckon. Just thought I'd share that with you guys........!
