Gozo Boats at Mgarr.
So called because of their Lateen rig. Survived (with diesel engines) up to the sixties.
The last one is being restored at Mgarr.

Is this the same as a Luzzu? I didn't realise 'dghajsa' applied to the larger ones.

Bigger than a Luzzu and for cargo not fishing. Dghajsa just means boat and the usual Grand Harbour ones are Dghajsa tal-Pass. There was also a utilitarian Dghajsa tad-Dockyard. (All this from an overpriced book I bought from Sapienzas)
