I'll ask him. Very likely as his Dad was RAF (who still lives at Rose Cottage at the top of Targa Gap hill, although not quite the landmark it used to be as it now has a neighbour or two).

Found Joe's name in the 1966 school magazine, Look for the Junior Literary and Debating society. He and Wendy Battleday proposed a debate! Surprised
