Good to see a full picture of this ship. I travelled out to Malta from the UK on her ,arriving on 29th July 1955.I have 2 photos taken aboard on page 2 of Then and Now. Does anyone else have memories of this ship , she sure was busy ?

Although I don't remember now, my mother and I travelled on this ship when we left Malta for the UK on 28th May 1952. This was our first tour of Malta and I was just three year's old. Living with a Maltese family in Vittoriosa I could only speak broken english on my return to the UK and this perturbed my poor old Grandma for some time ! We had a second tour of Malta in 1957-60 when our family had swollen to four children. We lived in Vittoriosa again and three of us attended Verdala school.

Went to Malta on this in 1948. My Mum was ALWAYS lost on board but somehow I was always able to find my way around. "Take me to the cabin Robert' she would say. Robert. That's me. You didn't think I was christened Spike did you? Get a grip.
