I think its actually the Wyvern badge of the Wessex Brigade to which DERR belonged. The Army had a brief silly spell of using Brigade rather than Regimental badges. The Buffs had a curved scroll as did the R.Berks, whose China Dragon was wingless and had four legs. See This Pic on the DERR (Farmer's Boys) website.
